All Fiction
' This is a blog just to explain how all fiction truly works. (Note: Kumagawa's uses ONLY, it is unknown how it would work with The End's boost)
- 1 Context
- 2 Physical erasure
- 3 Conceptual erasure
- 4 Resurrection on normal deaths
- 5 Problems
All Fiction is Misogi Kumagawa's second minus. After using The End Medaka Kurokami also copies All Fiction, though she has never used it with visible results and therefore Kumagawa's version is the only usable one in any vs battle. All Fiction is a pretty simple skill to summarize: "Erase". That's literally all it does, but due to its capabilities people have a really hard time figuring out what exactly it does and how it is done. So I decided to make a blog describing All Fiction in details.
This is basically All Fi…
OST information
Hello. I'm looking for the name of the soundtrack played at around 11.04 (time text) in ep. 12 of Medaka Box Abnormal. If anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks.
Character on the right side of the background?
I am really curious to know who the guy on the right side of the background is, I can't find him in the characters section.
New Project
And thus the manga came to end (except not, because we still have one last Good Loser Kumagawa coming). It's been a bittersweet morning; Medaka Box was the reason I joined Wikia so many years ago...
[insert old man comment here]
That said, just because the series is ending, does not mean our work is. Aside from the Jump Next epilogue, it seems a Fanbook will also be coming out at some point. Volumes 21 and 22 have yet to be released, and we're still waiting on the final anime DVD.
However, we must be realistic. The end of the manga means the end of English translations. CXC Scans have no plans to translate the light novels, and I cannot imagine any group will be in a rush to translate the Fanbook. An official English release is nowhere in sight ei…
Three Year Anniversary
I seem to be making a lot of blogs lately. I'm running out of witticisms. And before anyone starts nitpicking, yes, I'm aware this is the manga's second anniversary chapter cover. I didn't use the third because:
- It was not a center cover.
- It did not include the number 3. to Studio Gainax for the second.
Also, in case you weren't aware, the first promotional video for the anime's second season is up on YouTube. And it's awesome. All that money Gainax didn't spend on the first season? Looks like this is where it went. Seriously, go watch it.
Technical Update
Look at me, making a technical update blog like some Wikia staff wannabe. I’m even using self-deprecating humor. Anyway, over the past two weeks I’ve made several additions to the wiki’s code, and with the most recent, I’ve come to realize there have actually been quite a few changes. So for your convenience (and to feed my ego), I am listing them here.
If you like the new features, please leave a comment below. If you do not, please leave a comment below. If you have any suggestions for further changes, please leave a comment below. If you have anything to say at all, please leave a comment below. This is one of the few aspects of the wiki where my status as Admin actually means something. If I am unintentionally ostracizing the rest of the …
500 Pages!
Yes, there would be a hovering TV Tokyo icon in the corner of the room.
But yeah, image humor aside, this is super exciting. In just under three years, the dedicated members of this community have produced 500 pages of content concerning the Medaka Box series. I am so thrilled, I've been over to Community Central and requested a spotlight for the wiki. So with a little luck, hopefully we'll be seeing that come to fruition in the next few weeks. Of course, a HUGE thank you to every contributor who has helped the wiki reach this point, from the regular editors, to the not so regular editors, to the anonymous contributors.
Next, we're gunning for 1000 pages! Here's to three more years of the manga, a continuation of the anime after the second sea…
Wow! Second season!
This year's 30th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump is confirming on Monday that a second season of the Medaka Box anime has been green-lit. NisiOisin and Akira Akatsuki's original manga series is also celebrating its third year with its third popularity poll.
The first 12-episode anime season aired from April to June, and Crunchyroll streamed the season into several countries as it aired. Sentai Filmworks licensed the season in North America.

Anime Subs
Okay, so I probably should have put this up earlier, but I had two finals and a term paper this week, so…yeah. Still, this is important for the wiki, so I believe this is worth making a statement about.
As I’m sure most of you have become aware of by now, the groups subbing the Medaka Box anime are dropping like flies. The first groups to pick up the series, WhyNot? and SubDESU have both dropped the series, at episode four and episode two respectively. The group NemDiggers was re-encoding the series using the WhyNot? subs, so we’ll have to wait and see what’s going on over there.
On a more positive note, FFFpeeps is currently subbing the series in English, AnimeServe.net in French, and SubZero in Italian. Downside, all three groups have only g…
New Wiki Logo
Why do I never make fun blogs? Other people make fun blogs, but whenever I make a blog, it’s all business. Urgh. Anyway, on to…business.
As any of you may or may not know, Gainax created a website for the upcoming anime series last month, which, aside from including the anime versions of the characters, also came with a glorious image of the series main title displayed horizontally. I saved the image, headed over to the Logo Creation Wiki, and the good people there were kind enough to produce these gems:
I’m sure most of you can guess where this is going. Is the general consensus for Option 1, or Option 2? Or the current logo. I’m fine with keeping it if it’s popular enough. Or something else. Anyway, I’d like to get as much of a response to…
How's The New Look?
Okay, it is done. The Content Team has so graciously worked with me to create a new background for the wiki. So, what does everyone think? I found and supplied the image, so if it’s the quality of the new background that you have a problem with, feel free to complain to me. If it’s the image itself, also feel free to complain to me, and make a suggestion as to what I should bring to the Content Team if you would like the background changed.
Aside from the new background, sliders seem to have become popular on wiki homepages recently, so I created one for our wiki, which you can see here. Tell me what you think of it, and whether you would like to see a slider on our homepage as well. Otherwise, everyone keep up the good work, keep doing wha…
Medaka Box Wiki: New Look?
Hello everyone. So, I was feeling left out, and decided to create my own blog. Here’s why:
We now have over 300 pages, and the wiki has turned two years old. That being the case, I am considering making a request at Community Central to have the designer team swing round and see if they can touch up the wiki somewhat. Before I do that however, I’d like to hear from the contributors as to what changes they’d like to see. Are there any particular design elements you’d like to see incorporated? Is there an image from the series you want to see turned into a background? Or would you rather nothing changed at all? Whatever your tastes, please leave a comment so that I can get an idea of what everyone’s thinking.
Here’s to an awesome third year at…
Anime
Great news for Medaka Box fans, an anime for this manga you all love so much, has finally been green-lit!
From Anime News Network:
- This year's 43rd issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is announcing on Monday that a television anime adaptation of NisiOisin and Akira Akatsuki's Medaka Box school fighting comedy manga has been green-lit. More information will be provided in future issues of the magazine.
